Lesson 3: Overcome Procrastination
Now you identified your limiting beliefs and reframed them we can explore why we procrastinate and put steps in place to overcome it.
We tend to procrastinate because we don’t know what to do next.
Tasks seem too overwhelming and big to tackle.
Fear stops us in our tracks.
There could be a payoff we are not aware of for not wanting to do what needs to be done.
We don’t know what option to take or do next so we don’t do anything.
The more specific you can get as to why you procrastinate the more you can uncover what is behind it.
When you can identify why you don’t want to do what needs to be done, it allows you to look at different ways to overcome it.
We can see if what needs to be done is aligned to our purpose or goal. Could it can be done by someone else?
It is an indicator to see if there is a different way of doing what needs to be done, something which you can get behind more easily.
When we shine a light on what is stopping us it allows us to be able to uncover if there is a payoff for us not doing what needs to be done.
This can be where major shifts in the way we think or act occur.
The more we are aware of this and can move through procrastination magic starts to happen!
