If you need to cancel or change an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Every effort will be made to re-schedule sessions which are cancelled in a timely manner. If a client does not cancel in a timely manner or, cancels on a regular basis, I will need to end our coaching relationship. Cancellation (less than 24 hours prior) and/or no-show appointments are billed to the client for the full amount unless there are extenuating circumstances which will be at the discretion of the coach.
The services provided by Michelle Wordsworth to the client are via an online Zoom Meeting System. This also includes one week of email/facebook messenger support after the coaching call. Once the client has booked a session time via the online calendar located within the membership platform an email will be sent with meeting information and relevant links to the meeting. If the client is more than 10 minutes late with no contact, the session will be forfeited and the client will be charged at the full rate.
Coaching is a partnership focused on developing the client’s awareness, thinking and abilities in order to help the client identify and achieve the client’s goals. Coaching may address specific personal projects, business successes, or general conditions in the client’s life or profession.
Other coaching services include value clarification, brainstorming, identifying plans of action, and examining modes of operating in life, asking clarifying questions, and making empowering requests or suggestions for action.
Throughout the working relationship, the coach will engage in direct and personal conversations. The client understands that successful coaching requires a collaborative approach between the parties with a commitment and openness to the process.
In the coaching relationship, the coach plays the role of a facilitator of change, but it is the client’s responsibility to enact or bring about that change.
If the client believes the coaching is not working as desired, the client agrees to communicate this to the coach and take action to return the power to the coaching relationship.
My Coaching Commitment
- I will honour the time we are together and hold your confidences.
- I will not judge you and will respect your perceptions of the world.
- It is not my job to change you, It is my privilege to bring into awareness, clarity of choices, and if you choose, action to your life.
- My personal commitment is to be impeccable with my word and keep all commitments to you.
- I will always hold you in positive focus. We will concentrate on what is working in your life and how to create more of what will work for you.
- I believe you have all the answers within.
The client also agrees to disclose details of any current or previous psychological/psychiatric treatment. Coaching and counselling are not the same as described on the website www.michellewordsworth.com/coaching in the “What Is Coaching” and “What Coaching Isn’t” and as such, there needs to be a clear distinction between the two.
Terms of Coaching
I invite you to think of coaching as a process. Many people create change for themselves in a short time. However, to refine and sustain the changes can take time.
The client can, at any point in the coaching session, declare his/her preference not to discuss a specific issue, by simply stating they would rather not discuss this issue. The coach agrees to respect this boundary and will not attempt to forward the conversation further along those lines.
Michelle Wordsworth fully protects the privacy and confidentiality of the communications with clients. At no time will Michelle Wordsworth voluntarily divulge the coaching relationship between themselves and their clients without written permission from the clients, unless required to do so by law, where the court might issue a subpoena for the file or information.
The coach will work within the professional ethics and guidelines as designated by the International Coaching Federation (see www.coachfederation.org). Copies of the ethical guidelines are available on the website.
If you wish for me as your coach to speak to someone outside our interactions, then you need to give me written permission (original letter, fax or email) to do so. Exceptions to confidentiality of course relate to circumstances such as intent to seriously harm someone, child abuse etc. Otherwise, all your information is confidential.
It is important to be aware of the use of technology in that for some clients, there is a risk in using certain media such as the internet, mobile phones and cordless phones. If you use these to communicate with me, then I will assume that it is appropriate to continue to do so in my interactions with you.
Termination and Refund
The coach and client agree to provide each other with two week’s notice in the event it is desired to terminate coaching. Otherwise, the coaching will continue for the duration of the contracted period.
As coaching services are paid for in advance, refund for remaining sessions as identified at the time of agreed termination will be made accordingly without further enquiry.
I believe each of my clients is a unique, creative and responsible person who is in charge of moving their own life forward. I very much look forward to working with you.
